Frank Milton Mench

MENCH, Frank Milton Age 92 Portage Passed away peacefully at home Thursday, November 21,2013 surrounded by family. Frank was born December 10,1920 in Albion, MI., son of Charles & Ila(Longworth) Mench. Graduated from Homer MI High School. After graduation Frank enlisted in U.S. Navy serving as an aviation chief electrician's mate on the USS Antietem. He worked for Consumers Power Co. for 31 years. He is survived by Wilda, his wife of 64 yrs. Together they raised 2 children, Charles (Denise) Mench, and Rebecca Ann (Mark) Davis. They had 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by 2 brothers, Carl and Roy Mench. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1sister and 1 granddaughter. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Milwood United Methodist Church, 3919 Portage Rd., at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Hospice and Milwood United Methodist Building Fund.
