Frederick William Ayers, Jr.

Frederick William Ayers, age 67 of Marcellus, Michigan passed away Sunday July 18, 2021, in the comfort of his home.
Frederick was born in Kalamazoo Michigan on June 17, 1954, the son of Frederick Ayers, Sr. and Lorna (Evanson) Ayers.
On June 17, 1988, in Kalamazoo, Michigan he married the love of his life Margaret Louise Ciardullo who survives him in death.
Frederick was a machinist, working for many years at American Axle in Three Rivers, Michigan and later retired from there in September.
Frederick loved spending time with his family and became a great-grandfather in April of this year. He loved to work and could not stand to sit still. He loved his motorcycle and taking road trips to the U.P. and has ridden all over. Frederick was a very social people person, he enjoyed working in the garden and outdoors, he also loved spending time with his animals.
Frederick is survived by his wife Margaret Ayers; daughter Dawn (Geoff) Jania of Hammond, Indiana; son Robert (JoBeth) Harrison of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Dustin Eggerding, Zac (Lindsey) Eggerding, and Sierra Rygwelski; great-granddaughter Autumn Kane; sisters Linda Ladd and Kathy (Pat) Kelly, brother Mike (Deb) Ayers, Aunt Chris (Chuck) Blakely, Uncle Ken (Lee) Evanson; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Sunday July 25, 2021, from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Schoolcraft American Legion, 425 E. Clay St., Schoolcraft, MI 49087. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left at
