Frederick Max Streeter, of Kalamazoo and Zephyrhills, FL; passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Wesley Chapel, FL at the age of 73. Fred was born February 22, 1946 in Kalamazoo, MI by his late parents Max and Eleanor Streeter. After graduating from Vicksburg High School in 1965, he was drafted into the Army. When he returned, he was united in marriage to Jacqueline (Brotherton) on September 4, 1970, his soulmate for 48 years. He was a loving father and grandfather to two children and his six granddaughters. Fred was a Mason and Past Master with the Masonic Blue Lodge in Mattawan, MI. He was a member and past president of the Justin Morgan Horse Association and involved in 4H. For years he owned Fred's Hardware Store and was known as the man who could fix anything. Fred later retired from Consumers Concrete where he worked as a dispatcher. He loved woodworking, John Deere tractors, and fishing but his family was most important to him. Fred spent the last 10 years living in Zephyrhills, FL and made friends with everyone he encountered. He was a kind, generous, wonderful man. Fred is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jacqueline; daughter, Shannan (Brendon) Frank, and son, Jason (Lyndsey) Streeter and 6 granddaughters; Taylor, Jayley, Ella, Alyssa, Sydney and Savannah, also a brother, Tom (Kathy) Streeter. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 1pm at the Mattawan Masonic Lodge, 25347 Front Street, Mattawan, MI 49071.
