Fumie Oviatt, age 91, of Shelbyville, passed away on January 3, 2020. Fumie was born on June 6, 1928 in Nagasaki Japan to Otojiro & Shiohno (Matsumoto) Miyazaki. Fumie is the third youngest of seven children. A memorial service is being planned for the spring. Fumie’s family includes her children: Carol Akami (Jack II) Drummond and Chris (J.B Ingram) Oetman; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis; her parents; her children: Charles Kenji Oviatt, Howard Oviatt and Charlene Emi Zuydwegt; her grandson Bill Zuydwegt. Fumie loved gardening and cooking. She cherished family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going out to lunch with her friends.
