Gary was born on February 3, 1945 in Allegan, MI. Everyone who knew Gary knew he was the most fun, caring, and spontaneous person to be around. He was the kind of guy who always put others before himself. Gary was passionate and hardworking, which drew him to start his own company called Curtis Fiber Glass Repair Service. He managed his company for about 42 years. Gary loved anything outdoors, including fishing, yard work, boating, and especially camping. He was never shy and managed to become friends with all of his neighbors. Gary was a wonderful husband and father. He will forever be remembered and missed by all who knew him. Gary Eugene Curtis of Portage, MI, passed away on June 30, 2019 at the age of 74. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years: Judy Curtis; daughter: Tina Curtis; grandchildren: Nicholas Lauderdale, Tara Hegedus, Kristine Hegedus; great granddaughter: Natalee Lauderdale; brothers: Fred Curtis, Jim Curtis, and Ron Curtis; and sister: Joan Stoner. Gary is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on July 16 at 12noon at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
