George Karl Wester

George Karl Wester Plainwell Passed away Aug. 19, 2011. He was born Dec. 23, 1934 to Elmer and Lillian (Wilkerson) Wester. George married Iola J. Wolcott on June 22, 1958. He retired from The Upjohn Co. in 1992, after 35 years of service. He liked to fish, hunt, play golf and spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter Tamara Austin, son Daniel Wester, granddaughters Katherine (Daniel) Redmond, Jennifer Austin, Lindsey (Joshua) Renoos, Sarah Wester, grandson Heath Wester, 2 great-grandchildren Dennis and Lillian redcmond, and sister Ferne (Lyn) Tanner. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Esther Johnston, son-in-law Dennis Austin. George had recently lost Iola, his beloved wife of 52 years, in March. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside ceremony will take place a a future time. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society's or Allegan County East Relay for life.
