Gilbert Nathan Cummins

Gilbert Nathan Cummins went to be with the lord on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He was born on September 18, 1931, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Son of the late Nathan and Lisbeth (Barber) Cummins. He joined the Navy for four years and served during the Korean War. On June 9, 1951, Gil was united in marriage to Cathoriene (Getz) Cummins. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are two children, Mark (Dawn) Cummins of Lawton and Cathy Munther of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren; Halley Cummins of Mattawan, Annette Cummins of Vicksburg, Audrey Munther of Kalamazoo, and Ryan Munther of Kalamazoo; 1 great-granddaughter; Ava Bachmann of Mattawan. Proceeding in death are his parents. A service will be held of August 26, 2023, at 11:00 am at Milwood Methodist Church, 3919 Portage Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001 with a luncheon to follow.
