BURDICK, Hattie Wolters 1/3/1913 - 4/8/2010 Hattie Burdick of Allegan, MI was released from this life on April 8, 2010. She had been residing at the Briarwood Assisted Living for the past two years. Hattie, born in Salem Township, was the fifth of eleven children born to Henry and Tena (VanDerVeer) Wolters. On December 14, 1934 Hattie married Cecil Earl Burdick. She is survived by three children, Sally (Robert) Fairfield of Ravenna, MI, James (Linda) Burdick of Allegan, MI, and Phyllis (Dennis) Kellar of Norwalk, Iowa; ten grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving are two siblings, Ernie (Betty) Wolters, Mt. Pleasant, MI and Flossie Wesler of Allegan, MI. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews; and special friend, Linda Dangremond. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Cecil Burdick; two sisters, Mildred and Dorothy; six brothers, Henry Jr., John, Clyde, Elmer, Floyd and Russell; and one great-grandson, Mason. Hattie was an active member of the Allegan Presbyterian Church. She served as a Deacon and also was the Financial Secretary for many years. She was employed by McGowans Men's Store, Hiatt's (Fashion Break) and did alteration work for many years. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Allegan on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM Cremation has taken place at the Avink Funeral Home in Schoolcraft, MI. Family requests no flowers, memorials may be made to her church or Wings of Hope Hospice.
