Henry Frederick Van Nus Jr. passed away peacefully on December 4, 2019. Henry was born December 6, 1938 to Henry Van Nus Sr. and Mildred (Butler) Van Nus. Henry will always be remembered as an avid hunter and fisherman as well as tying his own fly’s for use on his yearly Canadian fishing trips or to give away to friends and family. As a young man he worked with his father painting houses. He was also in the Marine Reserves. He worked at Georgia Pacific as an electrician for 38 plus years. In recent years he became involved with intricate coloring. Henry is survived by his wife of 28 years Marguerite “Peg”: his sons; Michael (Stephanie) Van Nus, Joseph (Katie) Van Nus, Tim (Heidi) Berry: daughter; Debra (Ted) Campbell: grandchildren; Paul, Jessica, Elise, Theron, Kira, Lina, Collin and Kyle: great grandchild; Aubrey, and on his way, Ryder: sister; Marilyn Loveland: and nieces; Natalie and Lisa. Henry is preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister; Helena: brother in law; Herb: and nephew: Herbie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 2pm at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 9420 Poratge Road, Portage, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dementia Society of America PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or SPCA of Southwest Michigan 6955 W KL Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
