Howard Carroll DesVoignes

DESVOIGNES, Howard Carroll Portage Passed away Jan. 23, 2012 at Grace of Douglas. Howard was born Jan. 11, 1938 in Kalamazoo the son of Carroll and Mildred (Owen) DesVoignes. He was a Public Safety Officer for the City of Kalamazoo for 28 years. He married Phyllis Newhouse June 6, 1988 who survives. Also surviving 3 sons; Raymond (Kim) DesVoignes, Rodney (Autumn) DesVoignes and Richard (Janine) DesVoignes, 2 stepchildren; Debra (John) McGoff and Michael Vande Maele, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, several nieces and nephews. At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11am Friday Jan. 27, 2012 at the Lake Center Bible Church in Portage with Rev. Greg Stewart officiating.
