Imelda Inazel Hofbauer

Imelda I. Hofbauer, of Kalamazoo passed away on September 11th, 2020, at the age of 92 years old. She was born on June 2, 1928 in Harbor Springs, MI. Imelda was the daughter of Archie and Ethelyn (Grauel) Sarrault. Growing up she attended the Nativity Commercial High School in Detroit, MI. On May 30, 1947 in Petoskey, MI she was united in holy matrimony to James F. Hofbauer. From that marriage four children were raised. Imelda was an avid sewer, a great cook, and loved to garden. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family and traveling the world with Jim. Left to cherish her loving memory are her children: Theresa “Tracy” (Brad) Process and Todd (Fiancé: Linda Blaszak) Hofbauer. She is preceded in her passing by her husband and sons: Timothy and Thomas Hofbauer. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
