Imogean F. Clegg has left this veil of tears and passed on to the Promised Land. She was born in St. James, MO, on September 26, 1926, to Charles Lee and A. Elizabeth (Booth) Hanna of Scotch-Irish decent. She married Eugene Clegg, her husband of 58 years on July 3, 1943. She came to Allegan as a WWII, war bride when Gene left for over seas. The marriage produced 5 children: Karon (Peter) Knobloch. The, Bonnie (Fred) Strand, J. Fred Clegg, Sandra (Bob) Rankin, and Charles Clegg. Her first husband, Gene, her sister, Clarasteen and her brother, G. Winston preceded her in death. Her youngest brother, J. Gordon survives. She has 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Gean was a long time active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Allegan, MI. She was devoted to Allegan General Hospital for 56 years, first as a Nurse Aid, than a LPN and than a Volunteer. She was instrumental in the planning of the Grand Ravine Senior Housing Project. She served on the Allegan School Board from 1965 until 1971. She was preceded in death by her second husband of 3 years, Carness Ramey. You may send condolences to www.avinkcremation.com.
