Isabel Silva

Isabel (Guerrero) Silva of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the age of 83. She was born in Weslaco, TX on July 8, 1939, the daughter of Santos and Maria (Reyes) Guerrero.

She was a loving, caring and selfless mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and her greatest joy was spending time with family. She enjoyed watching her great grandchildren play and spending time with her dog.  Her hobbies were cooking, gardening, canning and she loved tending to her flower beds.

Isabel is preceded in her passing by her parents, husband: Guadalupe; sons: David and Alex; and brother: Leonardo Guerrero.

Isabel is survived by her four daughters, 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, a brother and many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Isabel’s wishes a celebration of her life will be held at Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Homes, 5975 Lovers Lane, Portage, MI 49002, on Monday, October 3, 2022, with a time for visiting from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Isabel will be laid to rest at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Gardens following the service.
