Ivan Max Honeysett, age 82, of Plainwell, MI passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 5, 2020. He was born December 22, 1937 on the family farm in Plainwell to Claud and Hulda (Amick) Honeysett.
On June 21, 1957 he was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Sadie Braamkolk. Together they raised three children. He worked at the Plainwell Paper Mill for forty years holding a number of various positions. Ivan enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, spending time at the family cabin in Moorestown, and most of all, attending the many activities of his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in his passing by his parents: Claud and Hulda; three infant siblings: Jay, Gene and Evelyn; and also brothers: Nolan and Erwin (Jack).
Cherishing his loving memory are his wife: Sadie; children: Randal (Patty) Honeysett, Natalie (Leonard) Witt, and Gregory (Tammie) Honeysett; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In accordance with Covid 19 restrictions, visitation was limited to family. A public graveside service was held at Hillside Cemetery on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Charles Post of Northern Heights Christian Reformed Church will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Northern Heights Christian Reformed Church at 1454 West E Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 or Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
