Ivan Frank Lobdell

Lobdell Ivan 1/3/1943 - 3/20/2015 Ivan Lobell age 72 passed away March 20, 2015 at his home in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he resided most of his life. He was assisted in his final journey by Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo. Ivan was born in Kalamazoo on January 3, 1943 to Frank E and Elsie (Shattuck) Lobdell He was preceded in death by his parents Frank E. and Elsie (Shattuck) Lobdell and a sister Nancy Lobdell all from Portage/Kalamazoo. He is survived by a brother Robert (Kathy) Lobdell of Gun Lake, Michigan and a girlfriend Beverly Newhouse of Portage, Michigan. His last employment was for the City of Kalamazoo, Department of Transportation in Building Maintenance at the Metro Transit System. He was an active member of the Milwood Neighborhood Association. Ivan was very mechanically inclined and had a love a gadgets and cars. He loved the outdoors and also loved dancing. Ivan was a gentle giant who will dearly be missed. According to Ivan's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
