James Ralph Myers passed away after a brief battle with cancer on September 27, 2014.
James was born on December 13, 1928 in Comstock, MI, the son of Ralph and Alison (Spealman) Myers. He was a long time resident of Fulton/Vicksburg. James was a member of the Carpenters local 257 and worked at the Miller Davis Company for over 40 years, where he held a job as a Carpenter foreman. He married Bernice Vance on July 28, 1951.
After retirement, his hobbies included bee keeping, gardening and tending to his apple orchard. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his yearly deer camp in the Upper Peninsula.
Jim is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Bernice, granddaughter Amanda Myers, and sister Virginia Dunn. He leaves behind his children; Lori Myers (Rob Meyer), Kathi (Carl) Rowland, Tim (Terri) Myers; Grandkids Jereme (Holly) Rowland, Kyle (Elyse) Rowland, Shannon (Jordan) Gerould, Chelsey Rowland and Jill Myers; five Great Grandchildren; brother Ronnie Myers; and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held Sunday October 5, 2014 at 2pm at Scotts Community Center. In leiu of flowers donations can be made in Jims honor to Good Samaritan Hospice Care in Battle Creek Michigan.
