James Stuart Proxmire

Age 75, passed away May 13, 2017 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Kalamazoo, MI, on March 6, 1942, the son of Bernard and Elizabeth (Stuart) Proxmire. Jim served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later worked in manufacturing. He was interested in U.S. History and enjoyed painting. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lenora, two sisters and two brothers. He is survived by many relatives and close friends. For friends and family a memorial service will take place June 11, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at Comstock Towers Community Room, 5285 E H Ave. Kal, MI 49048. In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Internment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
