James L. Robertson

Jim passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Bronson Hospital. He was born March 15, 1941 in Plainwell, MI, the son of Leighton and Mildred Robertson. Jim grew up in Gobles and after school joined the army and served in Germany. He then drove truck across country over forty years. Jim acquired his first million mile safety award early on and we don’t know how many million more he actually drove. Jim enjoyed coffee with friends and family. He could be found working on someone’s car or helping remodel homes. He enjoyed fishing and later in life, cooking as he had so many meals on the road! He also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino and gardening. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Surviving Jim are his siblings: sisters Nancy (Earl) Healy of Gobles and Judy Robertson of Otsego and brother Bill Robertson of Plainwell as well as many nieces and nephews (great and great-great) and many cousins. He loved them all. Also surviving is special friend Lora Mooney and family and countless other friends. Cremation has taken place. Graveside interment and a luncheon will be held in the spring for family and friends.
