James Alvin Snook

Snook, James A. 06.16.1944 - 04.15.2015 Jim passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home in Portage, Michigan. He was born June 16, 1944 to the late Raymond and Lettie (Canavan) Snook. Jim graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1962 and Western Michigan University in 1966. He started J&S Claim Service in 1981 and worked as a claims adjuster until his retirement. Jim enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, attending Western Michigan University basketball games, and traveling. Jim is survived by a son, Scott (Tracey) Snook of Galesburg, MI, two daughters Jody (Rick) Alzner of Kalamazoo, MI and Jennifer Snook (Joe Campagna) of Chicago, IL. Jim is also survived by four grandchildren: Emma, Evan, Lily and Anna. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, April 21st at 11:00am at Calvary Reformed Church located at 7829 S 5th Street, Mattawan, MI. Visitation will be held prior the celebration of life service at 10:00am at Calvay Reformed Church.
