Janet Kay Reisner

Mrs. Janet (McDaniel) Reisner died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 9, 2016 in Schoolcraft, Michigan at the age of 77. Janet is survived by her husband, Elmer Reisner; children, Thomas (Jane) Reisner and their children Deborah and Joshua; Kathy (Matthew) Hunt and their children Danielle, Tyzjgi and Tyzzyr; Daniel (Julie) Reisner and their children Payton and Sam; siblings: Mary Peterson, Ronald McDaniel, Dale McDaniel and Donald McDaniel and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents: William and Ruby McDaniel, brothers Mearle McDaniel and Bob McDaniel. Janet was born on January 25th in Lansing Michigan to William and Ruby McDaniel. She graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing. She married Elmer in September 26, 1959. After living in Eaton Rapids and moving to Portage, Michigan, they built their current home in Schoolcraft, Michigan. Janet was a stay at home mom to Tom, Kathy, and Dan. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a kind and gentle soul who encouraged them to pursue their goals, dreams and relationship with Christ. Janet was accomplished at many crafts that included: sewing, knitting, crocheting, stamping, card making and puzzles. She was a generous individual who loved her Lord and who was passionate about talking to people about their faith. She was an active and dedicated member of Berean Baptist Church, volunteered knitting for the hospitals, as well as many years at Gitche Gumee Bible Camp.
