Jean Kathrine Schau

Jean Schau, age 97, of Cooper Township, passed away on September 25, 2018. Jean was born on August 22, 1921 to Andrew & Mildred (Trick) Schau. Visit with her family and friends on Friday, September 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the McCowen & Secord Funeral Home Marshall & Gren Chapel; 120 S. Woodhams St. Plainwell, MI 49080. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the same location. Jean's family includes her nieces and nephews: Lorene Lamson, Judy Dee, Richard (Marilyn) Allen, Rick (Priscilla) Schau, Steven (Rhonda) Allen and Kayla (Marc) Laning. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Leon, Lucille, Marian, Donald, Eldred and her niece Pamala Johnson. Jean was born and raised on a farm and loved her animals. Jean was an executive secretary at Upjohn for many years and retired in 1986. She was an avid reader and loved spirited conversations.
