VAN DER KLEY, Jean Marie

Age 87, passed away February 1, 2011, Jean was born June 30, 1923 in Darlington, Indiana, the daughter of William and Lucille Biddle. She married William Burnard Van Der Kley in 1948. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of St. Mary's Church and participated in several functions for many years. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Kaye Van Der Kley and friend James Cook and Jan Van Der Kley and husband Michael McCauley, grandsons Eric Ryan Armbruster (Marcia) and Lance Thomas McCauley, and great grandsons Isaac Armbruster and T.J. Armbruster and sister-in-law Barbara Stacknik and husband Henry, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is husband William, mother, father, sisters Vera Royer, Vivian Cunningham, Ruth Smiley, Betty West, Lois Thornton and brother William Biddle. Per Jean's wishes,
"Remember me with joy
And laughter
Because that is how I will
Remember you all.
If you can only remember me
With tears
Then don't remember me at all."
At her request, cremation will take place. Interment of remains will occur for immediate family at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
