Jeanne Ann Eberstein

Schoolcraft, MI

Jeanne Ann Eberstein, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, in Schoolcraft, Michigan at the age of 76. Born on September 7, 1948, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jeanne was a guiding light to all who knew her, she had an independent spirit, was selflessness, and unwavering strength.

Education was an important chapter in Jeanne's life. She navigated the transition of Portage Public Schools during her youth, ultimately becoming part of the first graduating class of Portage Northern in 1966.

For over 35 years, Jeanne dedicated herself to the profession of medical transcription, becoming a respected figure before she retired. Her career was a testament to her meticulous nature and commitment to excellence. She was most proud of being a mother to her children. During her younger years she worked hard to provide for them and instill a strong work ethic all of her children have today.

Jeanne's heart found its rhythm in her cherished kitchen, the heart of her home. She enjoyed canning jams and sauces, baking cookies and pies. Every recipe she perfected was shared generously with her sisters, reflecting her nurturing soul and the bonds that tied them together.

Jeanne had a passion for travel and spending time in nature. Some of her fondest memories were made in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where crossing the iconic Mackinac Bridge brought her immense relaxation and peace. The camp on their family property was a place reset life and time with her family. She enjoyed going into Newberry and going to the Two Hearted River and also just having a tasty UP Pasty. She also enjoyed the golden sands and salty breezes of Gulf Shores, Alabama. She made friends wherever she and Mike traveled whether it was fishing along the Detroit River, going to Mike’s Barbershop and visiting with people, or going to Shipshewana for a chicken dinner.

Jeanne cherished her marriage with her husband, Mike Eberstein, proudly celebrating 38 years of partnership on December 17, 1988. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and shared moments. Jeanne took great pride in her family, reveling in the joys of being a mother and grandmother. The memories they created together will forever warm the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Life gives us only a few precious gems like Jeanne Eberstein. Her legacy of love, strength, and generosity will continue to shine brightly, illuminating the paths of those she dearly loved. Though she will be profoundly missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding them of the beauty of life and the importance of treasuring each moment.

Jeanne's faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. Through her belief and strength, she touched the lives of many, and her family finds solace knowing that she is now reunited with her loved ones—her son Josh, granddaughter Rashel, grandson Jesse, and her loving parents, Jack and Joyce (Bellingham) Keyes. They can envision them perhaps sitting around a campfire in the eternal camp of love and memories.
