Tindall Jeanne A.
Jeanne A. Tindall, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away with loving family by her side, on Wednesday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 92, due to Covid 19 complications. She resided at Friendship Village, Kalamazoo, Michigan and formerly lived on Indian Lake in Vicksburg, Michigan. Jeanne was born on March 24, 1928 in Kalamazoo and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Gladys (Bollinger) Keller. Jeanne grew up in Kalamazoo with three siblings, the late Barbara (Otto) Hood, Jack (Kathy) Keller and Marian (Don) Scheid. On June 18, 1949 she was united in marriage to James L Tindall. She received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan in 1952. Jeanne had a passion for music and was a gifted musician. She gave flute lessons and played in the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Kalamazoo Junior Symphony, and Kalamazoo Concert Band. Jeanne was a member of the Kalamazoo Garden Club and for many years Jim and Jeanne were active members of Lakeland Reformed Church in Vicksburg where they sang in the church choir. She also enjoyed playing tennis, square dancing and cards and games. (She was amazing at ping pong and Chinese checkers!) Jim and Jeanne had many close friends and enjoyed extensive travelling including many winters in Florida and among others, trips to Hawaii, Europe, Africa, and Alaska. Jeanne was an amazing and loving wife, mother and grandmother and wonderful role model for all her children and grandchildren. Family meant so much to her. All her life, she had a great sense-of-humor, kind heart and sweet and positive disposition.
In Jeanne’s later years, after Jim’s passing in 2011, she had a special friend, the late, Dr. John Sinclair. The Tindall and Sinclair families were close friends while raising their children (Jim and John were local dentists who met at U of M). John’s wife JoAnn was Jeanne’s dear friend and Tuesday tennis partner. After both Joann’s and Jim’s passing, John and Jeanne enjoyed each other’s company and along with John’s family took many fun winter cruises.
Jim and Jeanne raised four children, Nancy (Thom) Jones of Kalamazoo, Ken Tindall (Beth DeWaters) of Kalamazoo, Scott (Shelley) Tindall of Vicksburg and Marilyn (Ken) Weichhand of Vicksburg. Besides her four children and their spouses, Jeanne is survived by 8 grandchildren, Carrie (James) Langley, Paul Gerts, Steve (Sara) Weichhand, Lisa Weichhand, Timothy Tindall, Brad Tindall, Shawn Tindall, Luke (Eunice) Tindall, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, 1 brother-in-law, 3 sister-in-laws and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeanne loved her family and many wonderful family gatherings were held at Jeanne’s and Jim’s welcoming home on Indian Lake.
