Joan Lorraine Hale

Joan Lorraine Hale of Orangeville, MI passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, in Kalamazoo, MI at the age of 62. She was born on July 4, 1958, in Kalamazoo the daughter of Melvin Oisten and Wanda Wilkinson. Joan’s passion was her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in her passing by her parents; husband: Irvin Hale; and son: James Hale. Left to cherish her loving memory is her partner of twenty-eight years: Ovie Pinks; her children: Jennifer (Quinten) Keech, Jessica (Bryan) Tomberlin, Laura (Trent Sr.) Keech, Jason Hale, and Delbert Hale; grandchildren: Cassidy, Dustin, Trent Jr., Coltyn, Zayden, Madison, Izzabella, Maria, and Danny; two great grandchildren with one on the way. In accordance with the family’s wishes services will take place at McCowen & Secord Family Funeral Homes Marshall-Gren Chapel, 120 S. Woodhams, Plainwell, MI 49080 with a public visitation on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and a public service on Monday, July 12, 2021, starting at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Joan will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery in Orangeville Twp following the service. Memorials made in Joan’s memory may be directed to the family c/o Laura Keech.
