John F. Duggan
Passed away October 1, 2012 from complications of Multiple Sclerosis at Rose Arbor Hospice Care Center. Born January 27, 1937 in Milwaukee to John and Ada Duggan. John grew up in Milwaukee and Iron Mountain. He served four years in Europe in the USAF. John and Kay (Phillips) celebrated 54 years of marriage in August. John was employed by Peter Eckrich, owned Milwood 76 Service Station and retired from Kraft-General Foods. Survivors are his wife, three sons, Michael (Karen), Patrick (Kelly), Timothy (Amy) and one daughter, Amy (Terry Koviack). There are eight surviving grandchildren; Natasha, John-Michael, Kaycee, Shane, Paige, Alisha, Layne, Violet, Tyler, and one great-grandchild Caden. Surviving siblings are sister, Mary Patricia (Ron) Newman and brother, James (Debra) Nimmer. John was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Carl Nimmer and brothers, Terry and Daniel.
In keeping with John's wishes, cremation has taken place and a committal service with full military honors will be held October 8 at 11:30 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, officiated by VFW Post #7956 Chaplain Cleon LaDuke. There will be a luncheon to follow at the Augusta VFW Post.
