John Joseph Holman

John Joseph Holman, age 81, of Lawton, passed away on April 8, 2020. He was the son of Joseph Holman and Kathryn (Miller) Holman. He moved from South Haven to Mattawan in 1971 and graduated from St. Augustine. John was an electrician for IBEW Local 131 and retired in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, lawn-care, and projects around the house. Surviving are sons Michael (Laura) Holman, Donald (Brenda) Holman, Stephen (Dena) Holman, and daughters Teresa (John) Chapin, and Kathleen (Ty) Berdeaux. He had 9 grandchildren; Thomas Holman, John (‘Little John’) Holman, Judy Holman, Monica Owen, Kaitlynn Chin, Brendon Holman, Jessica Wynne, Stephen Rochholz, and Sammantha Hoogterp; 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Donald Holman, sister Mary Adams, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Theodore Holman.
