John Howard Longfield

LONGFIELD, John H. Galesburg Passed away Oct. 11, 2012. John was born April 30, 1930 in Chicago the son of Walter and Lois (Pierson) Longfield. John was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. John retired from James River with (or after) 44 years of service. He married Patsy Lewman Oct. 25, 1952 who survives. Also surviving a son, Michael (Delora) Longfield, 6 grand daughters, 6 great grand sons and one great grand daughter, a son-in-law, Russ Hoffman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Debbie Hoffman. Cremation has taken place a memorial service will be held 11am Thursday Oct. 18, 2012 at the Scotts United Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Litchfield officiating with a visitation at the church starting at 10am. Interment of cremains will take place at Gilson Cemetery in Scotts.
