Judith "Judy" M. Linders

Judy M. Linders, age 85, of Portage, MI, entered her eternal home with her Lord and Savior on November 14, 2024, surrounded by love and comfort. Born on November 10, 1939, in Kalamazoo to Norman and Ruth Pomeroy, Judy lived a life of grace, kindness, and devotion to her family and faith.

A graduate of Schoolcraft High School, Judy built a successful career as a loan officer, where her meticulous care and personable nature earned her the trust of many. After retiring in 1998, she embraced a life full of hobbies and cherished moments with loved ones. Judy found joy in playing cards, knitting, working on puzzles, and gathering for games with friends and family.

In 1961, Judy married the love of her life, Don Linders. Together, they created a beautiful life and were blessed with four children, whom Judy raised with unwavering love and support. Her family was her pride and joy, and she delighted in the special role of being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Judy’s family includes her children: Lori (Kevin) VanDyke, Dave (Laura) Linders, Mike (Donna) Linders, and Dan Linders; her grandchildren: Ashley (Leland) Lickfelt, Jordan (Katelyn) VanDyke, Matthew (Kristina) VanDyke, Zackery Linders, Joshua Linders, Chelsea Linders, Kylie Linders, and Jeremy Linders; and her beloved great-grandchildren: Harrison and Liam (Jordan and Katelyn), Haylee (Ashley and Leland), and Kinsley (Matthew and Kristina). She is also survived by her brother, Bob (Mary) Pomeroy, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Judy is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Don; her parents, Norman and Ruth; her brother, David; and her granddaughter, Kara Linders.

Judy’s family will welcome friends for a time of visitation on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Avink McCowen & Secord Funeral Home, 409 S. Main St., Vicksburg, MI 49097. A celebration of her life and faith will take place the following day, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 224 E. Cass St., Schoolcraft, MI 49087.

Judy’s legacy of love, generosity, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her gentle spirit and warm smile will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
