Judith Marie Stahl

St. Joseph - Judith M. Stahl, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on February 3, 2012. She was born on June 6, 1942, in Watervliet, Michigan as the daughter of Michael and Ruth (Gilbert) Duffy, both of whom preceded her in death. Judy was married to Kenneth R. Stahl on November 10, 1962, and widowed on December 23, 1999. She is survived by her children, Amy (Patrick) Cotter, Jean Stahl, Andrew (Caroline) Stahl, and Lynn (Wayne) Bothe and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Duffy and favorite aunt Margery (Gilbert) Killeen. Her surviving siblings are Michael (Sue) Duffy, Walter (Jill) Duffy, Rosemary (Andy) Nuhfer, Barbara (George) Bray, and John (Kara) Duffy and her cousin, Kathy Killeen. Her sister-in-law Karen (Stahl) Walker and the Buller children also survive Judy. Judy enjoyed sewing, gardening, and bird watching. She was a faithful and long-time member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, leading the adult bible study group for many years. Before retirement, Judy enjoyed working in the food service at Whirlpool in Benton Harbor. Adhering to her wishes cremation has taken place, and a memorial mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials go to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, Michigan, 49085.
