Julie Ann Wetherbee passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Rose Arbor Hospice surrounded by her family. She was born November 20, 1968 in Three Rivers, Michigan, to Raymond and Sharron (Harris) Wetherbee. Julie attended public schools in Vicksburg and Kalamazoo. She resided in the Mattawan area for many years and had been employed by Mattawan Consolidated Schools. Julie was preceded in death by her father (2019), a brother, Alan Wetherbee (1988), and a son, Alex French(2005). Survivors include: her children, Ryan Montoya and Samantha French; her mother; her siblings, Wendy Rice (Nathan Martens), Tony (Sara) Wetherbee, Scott (Tracy) Wetherbee, and Erik (Amanda) Wetherbee; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery (Red Arrow Highway) in Antwerp Township on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Patricia Weatherwax of the Battle Creek First Presbyterian Church officiating. Immediately following burial, the family will receive friends and celebrate Julie’s life from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall (lower level) at Mattawan Community Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with final expenses.
