Kathleen Sue Wykstra

Kathleen Sue Wykstra, age 72, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.  Kathy was born on January 10, 1950, to Adrian and Elizabeth (Slager) Beekman. Visit with family and friends on Monday, October 17, 2022, From 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the East Martin Christian Reformed Church; 1782 5^th St. in Martin.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 at the same location.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harold; her children: Melissa (Michael) Bowling, Cheri (Brian) Sintay, Matthew (Amy) Wykstra; 5 grandchildren: Ashton (Trish) Bowling, Carly Bowling, Isabelle Sintay, Meghan Wykstra and Joel Wykstra; 3 great grandchildren: Easton, Arielle, Journee; brothers-in-law: David Broekema, Wayne VanTil as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Marilyn Broekema and Joan VanTil.

Kathy grew up in the family’s flower shop and continued to love flowers all her life.  You could often find her in her garden.  She enjoyed traveling, playing cards with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy married Harold in 1970. Together they faithfully attended and supported the East Martin Christian Reformed Church.  She worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital as an LPN prior to staying home to raise her children.
