Kendall MacLeod

Kendall MacLeod was born June 28th in Midland, Michigan and passed away May 31st 2016. He was known as a loving husband and father. Kendall Graduated from Midland High School in 1950. Kendall attended Michigan State University and in 1954 received his commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army as part of the ROTC program. He served with the 568th at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He continued his military service in the Army Reserves, serving with the 415th Civil Affairs battalion in Kalamazoo Michigan as a reserve officer, obtaining the rank of Captain. He was honorably discharged in 1965. Kendall won numerous debate championships in High School. This passion led to entering Law school at Wayne State University in 1958, graduating in 1960. He passed the Michigan State Bar exam shortly after his graduation. It was during this time that Kendall met his wife Patricia Seaman at Detroit's Metropolitan Methodist Church. On July 1, 1961, Patricia and Kendall married at the church in which they met, and settled happily in Kalamazoo by 1962. Kendall began his legal career working for the U.S. Dept. of Treasury (IRS). He left to pursue a full time law practice in 1965. After working for several law firms, he entered private practice in 1973. He remained in private practice until retirement in 2002. Kendall was a member of the Michigan State Bar Association in good standing until his passing. Kendall was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, his parents Albert and Iva (Feldhoff) MacLeod, his sister Vivian (MacLeod) Booth, and infant grandson, lan Christopher MacLeod. He is survived by his sister Joanne (Walter) Rupprecht, brother Vernon (Terry) MacLeod, son Kenneth (Christy) MacLeod, daughter Margaret MacLeod, and grandson, Kenneth Colin MacLeod.
