Kailey and Virgil “Larry” Walker, of Galesburg passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Kailey was born on February 14, 1991 in Kalamazoo, MI. She was the second of four children for Denise (Weld) and Ronn Thomas. She was a graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School with the Class of 2009. She loved music and playing board games. She will be remembered by her family as being selfless, a great aunt, and having a never-ending smile. Larry Walker was born on February 4, 1972 in Kalamazoo MI. He was the son of Virginia Walker. He was a graduate of Otsego High School with the Class of 1990. He worked for Prairie Farms. Larry’s family will remember him as hardworking, loving, and being a great husband and son. After being introduced by a mutual friend they married in October of 2011. They enjoyed playing board games, biking, walking and going out to eat together. They were both very family oriented. They were not complete unless they were with each other. Kailey is survived by her mother: Densie (Tim Himes) Cooper, of Galesburg; three siblings: Landon Weld, of Richland; Larissa Weld, of Kalamazoo; Karrah Rodriguez, of Kalamazoo; Nephew and niece: Isaac Tapia, Elijah Tapia, Addelyn Rodriguez, Eliana Rodriguez, and Adrian Rodriguez; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Larry is survived by two brothers: Jim Asher, of Jackson; and John Asher, of Kalamazoo. Kailey is preceded in death by her father: Ronn Thomas; Maternal grandparents: Wallace D. and Gladys L. Weld. Larry is preceded in death by his mother: Virginia Walker. Kailey and Larry have been cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
