LaVonne Rae Vestal

Vestal, LaVonne LaVonne Rae Vestal, 85, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed May 2, 2019. LaVonne was born to Roger Rosenberger and Mona Crawford on February 28, 1934 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High in 1951. She married Harry K Vestal in 1953 and they lived together in Kalamazoo. Together they raised four children. She leaves as her legacy her children: Craig Vestal (Holly), Vicky Chesser (Ken), Dale Vestal (Joyce) and Roger Vestal. She also leaves to cherish her memory fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Her children remember her as the heart and spirit of the family, always busy with crafts, friends, traveling, and fun. LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Gordon Rosenberger and Douglas Rosenberger. She is survived by a sister, Christine DesJardins. She was a typesetter at Portage Printing until she retired in 1999. She was active in the Eastern Star as well as Camp Chesterfield in northern Indiana. There will be a celebration of her life for family and close friends on Friday, May 24, at The Beacon Club from 2 to 5 pm. The family would like to thank Rose Arbor Hospice for their wonderful care during her last days.
