Lee Suzanne Nelson

NELSON, LEE SUZANNE South Haven, MI Passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital Saturday, August 25th, 2012. She was born in Ann Arbor, MI on August 12, 1953 to George and Fay Mitchell currently of St. Clair Shores, MI. Graduating from Denison College with majors in Studio Art and English, she received her Master's Degree from the University of Toledo in Educational Administration and Supervision. Lee taught Art, English, Humanities and Speech at Lawton High School and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She also effectively served as the president of the Lawton Education Association, directed student productions and was a major contributor in the Kids Dream Playground Project in Lawton. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Adrienne Nelson of Aspen, CO and her three grandchildren: Madison, Beckett and Emilia; her sister, Kathie (John) Crimando and their children, Macomb, MI; and her brother, Michael Mitchell of St. Clair Shores.
