Leslie Samuel Johnston Jr.

JOHNSTON, Leslie S. Jr. Lawton Les passed away Saturday evening May 1, 2010 in Battle Creek.. He was born in South Haven on October 30, 1942, the son of the late Leslie and Nodja (Martinowich) Johnston. He graduated from Portage Central High School in 1960, going on to attend University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, and working for radio stations there and also Lubbock, Texas. He later moved to California and worked for the State in traffic control, until retirement in 1999 and moving back to Michigan. Les is survived by 2 uncles, Bert and Carol Johnston of Danville, IL and Robert and Marilyn Johnston of Scotts, Mi, several cousins and many, many dear friends in California.
