Lester Charles Hughes

HUGHES, Lester Charles Constantine Passed away Oct. 3, 2010 at Three Rivers Hospital. Lester was born Dec. 16, 1925 in Akron, OH the son of Wint and Lottie (Kapp) Hughes. He was a Merchant Marine Veteran. Lester was a machinest in Three Rivers for most of his life. He was a member of the Corey Church of the Nazarene. He married Joyce Norton who preceded him in death Sept. of 1995. Surviving are his wife; Stella (JoAnn), 3 daughters: Leslie Morris, Kathleen (Bill) Norton and Kristeen Hughes, one son: William (Barbara) Hughes, 3 step-children: Roy Zickafoose, Randy Zickafoose and Peggy Day, 8 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren, a sister, Eleanor (Fred) Grunert, several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death, a grandson, SSG Brian Lee Morris. At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11am Friday Oct. 8, 2010 at Corey Church of the Nazarene in Three Rivers with Rev. Gary Carr officiating. Internment of cremains will take place at Poe Cemetery in Jones. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
