Linda Lee Kaylor of Schoolcraft, MI, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born on September 8, 1948, in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Murray and Barbara (Fisher) Hodges.
On July 18, 1981, Linda married the love of her life, Steve Kaylor, in a private ceremony at their home. Their journey together took them to Tennessee for eight years before they returned to Schoolcraft, where they continued building a life filled with cherished memories.
Linda’s deep affection for animals shone brightly throughout her life. She dedicated nine years to running K-9 Vacation Camp, a beloved dog boarding and care center. Her passion for the well-being of animals knew no bounds, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who showed kindness to them. Linda also found joy and solace in nature, often immersing herself in the beauty of the outdoors.
A gifted creator, Linda delighted in using her embroidery machine to craft thoughtful and personalized gifts for her loved ones. Her talent and attention to detail left many with treasured keepsakes that will forever serve as a reminder of her warmth and generosity.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Barbara, and her brother, Bill Hodges. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Steve Kaylor; her sons, Nick Hofstra (Amy Desmond) and Rob Hofstra (Lisa); and her beloved grandchildren, Sydney and Brody Hofstra, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
In accordance with Linda’s wishes, no public services will be held at this time.
Linda's gentle spirit, loving heart, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
