Lisa Brooks

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Lisa Michelle Brooks passed away at home on January 27, 2016. She was born January 9, 1966 in Hamilton, OH. A resident of Portage, MI since 1966, she had a God-given gift of knowing when someone needed a helping hand or word of encouragement. She loved sports, her family and friends, and her pets. She was a member of Centerpoint Church, Kalamazoo, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Lois Siler. She is survived by her husband, Allen Brooks, and her sister, Rhonda Siler, of Portage, as well as hundreds of friends. Cremation has taken place through Avink Funeral Home, Schoolcraft, MI. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Centerpoint Church, 2345 N. 10th St, Kalamazoo. Family and friends may visit with the family from 12 noon with a service to follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Heart Association, your local Humane Society or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
