Lotte Christoph, of Portage, MI passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the age of 90. She was born on November 12, 1930 in Berlin, Germany the daughter of Gustav and Frieda (Papke) Wiedemann.
Lotte enjoyed her time spent at St. Michael's Lutheran church making quilts for the needy and even worked at Meijer for a period of time. She was a wonderful and loving housewife, mother, grandmother (Mema/Meme) and great grandmother, who savored the time she spent babysitting her grandchildren. Her laughter will carry on forever in the hearts and minds of her loved ones.
Lotte is proceeded in death by her parents: Gustav and Frieda Wiedemann; her beloved husband: Heinz Christoph; and her great granddaughter: Adeline Grace Bell. She is survived by her children: Christiane (Randy) Claire, Cora Christoph, Carmen (Mike) Bell; grandchildren, Kacey Bell, Erika (Brian) Zale, Taylor Bell; and great grandson: Noah Zale.
In accordance with the family’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate Lotte’s life will be held at St Michaels Lutheran Church, 7211 Oakland Dr., Portage, MI 49002, on Monday, October 18, 2021. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and funeral service at 11am with a small lunch to follow service. Private grave site service with family only at 1:30 at Portage South Cemetery.
