Lyndi Lane

Lyndi Clare Lane, age 4, passed away peacefully in her mother’s arms on April 1, 2024. Lyndi was born at Mott Children’s Hospital on February 3rd, 2020. She was born with rare congenital heart defects and fought the hardest battles her entire life. Despite spending half her life in and out of the hospital, enduring 7 major surgeries, and countless other procedures, she brought joy to every single person who met her. 

To know Lyndi was to love Lyndi. She was well known for her squeaky shoes and brilliant laughter. Outside of the hospital she loved eating her kale out of her garden, going to the playground, chasing her cats, visiting zoos, and singing along to Moana and Frozen. 

To the staff at Mott Children’s Hospital that lovingly cared for Lyndi for 4 years, thank you for filling her life with laughter and endless snacks. Your dedication will never be forgotten, and words will never be enough to show my appreciation. 

Lyndi’s family includes her mother: Angelia Lane, her grandparents: Cindy Lane and Robert Cheeseman her aunts and uncles: Jordan (Sloan) Lane, Sarah (Abram) Ward, Stephanie Larson. She was preceded in death by her great grandfather Richard Standish and great grandmother Judith Caswell. 

A visitation will be held on Friday April 12th from 4-7pm at Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Home; 120 S. Woodhams St. Plainwell, MI 49080 (269-685-5881). A formal service will be held on Saturday April 13th at 1pm at the same location. Please wear blues or any other bright colors to celebrate Lyndi’s joy for life.
