Margaret Joyce Koning

KONING, Margaret J. (Maggie) Kalamazoo Passed away Dec. 24, 2009. Maggie was born Aug. 18, 1944 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Henry and Stella (Vrobel) Ponicki. She was a bookkeeper for the Van Buren Youth Camp for the last 17 years. On July 12, 1969 she married John Koning who survives. Also surviving is a son; Brian Lee Koning of Clearwater, FL, 2 daughters; Teressa (Eric) Hess of Louisville, KY and Michelle (George) Pleyte of Lawton, 5 grandchildren; Jordan Pleyte, Camron Pleyte, Connor Hess, Morgan Hess and Evan Hess, 2 brothers; Robert (Sandy) Ponicki of Kalamazoo and Henry Ponicki Jr. of Kalamazoo, 4 sisters; Georgiana (Tim) Washburn of Lawton, Ellen (Charles) Binge of Omaha, NE, Deborah Coleman of Apache Junction, AZ and Patricia Allen of Kalamazoo and many nieces and nephews. At her request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation and a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Maggie's name to West Michigan Cancer Center on Park St. or Van Buren Youth Camp c/o Tim Washburn.
