Margaret Louise Westover (née Baier), passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 26, 2020, at Bickford Assisted Living in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the age of 93. She was born on July 9, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Agnes Baier. Marge (Red) grew up surrounded by family in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She married Gerald M. Westover on April 27, 1946. They were able to celebrate 63 years of marriage before Jerry (Ike) was called home on June 10, 2009.
Marge’s family includes her six children: Linda (Larry, d.) Cox, Leslie (John) Kramb, Debra (Thomas) Leonard, Diane (Jerry) Bush, David (Denise) Westover, and Dan (Bonnie) Westover; 21 grandchildren: Kimberly, Richard (Rebecca), and Heather (Seth Parker) Cox; Jason (Katie), Jeff (Liz), and Julie Kramb; Samantha (Will) Sample, Nicholas and Christopher Leonard; Paul and Mark Bush, and Megan (Roy) Richardson; Sarah (Jon) Langworthy, Patrick (Tanya) Westover, and Michael (Sara) Westover; Zachary and Marley Westover, Adriana (Bill) Geiger, and Corey Westover; Tony (Amanda) and Christopher (Sarah) Negron; 16 great-grandchildren including two babies to be born soon; her sister, Patricia (Michael) Schumerth; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews including Dan Radig who had a special love for Aunt Red.
Marge was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry; her sisters, Carol Pucci and Kathleen Baier; and her son-in-law, Larry Cox.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020, at St. Monica Catholic Church at 534 West Kilgore in Kalamazoo. Following the Mass, food and fellowship will be shared in the church hall. Burial will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek, Michigan at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southwestern Michigan.
