Margie Lou Peterson, age 94 of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Edgewood Nursing Home of Three Rivers.

Margie was born in Mishawaka, Indiana, on February 12, 1927 the daughter of Glenn Jacob and Daisy Fern (Paulus) Selner.

Margie was a clerk, working for many years in retail. She was a collector of Boyds Bears, enjoyed fishing, was a member of a bowling league, and a sports fan but was an especially huge Chicago Cubs and Sammy Sosa fan. She was also an avid mall walker.

Margie is survived by her daughters Patricia (Michael) Shanahan of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Wendy (Richard) Underly of Marcellus, Michigan; son Jeffery (Paula) Peterson of Alabama; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great great-granchildren; half-sisters Connie Riddle and Sherry Dye of Indiana; and half-brother Dennis Selner of Indiana.

Margie is preceded in death by both of her husband’s Lloyd E. Moore and Edwin H. Peterson; daughter Nancy Roozee; sisters Ruby Vincent and Lucille Stickel; and brothers Glenn Selner and Herold Selner.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, 52780 M-40 North, Marcellus.
