Marie Thompson

THOMPSON, Marie B. Of Schoolcraft Marie Thompson, age 92, of Schoolcraft, and formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 8, 2011. Marie was born April 13, 1918 to Rex and Bertha Haney. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Thompson in 1992, and more recently by her son, Darrell Best and his wife Pearl. She is survived by grandchildren Diane, Craig (Renee), and Eric Best, and great-grandchildren, Eric Best and Lindsay and Samantha Walser. Marie had many friends over the years; she cherished their friendships, and greatly appreciated their support in times of need. She would warm the hearts of all who had the privilege of becoming acquainted with her, and her family has many a fond memory of precious time spent with her. She was a lover of cats (especially Persians) and was rarely without at least one throughout her adult life. Marie's family and friends will find solace in the fact that she'll finally be reunited with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and those who preceded her.
