Mark Alan Mackie

MACKIE, Mark Alan June 1972 - April 2014 Passed away at home of natural causes. He leaves behind mother Jill Mackie (Jerry Conley), father David (Julie) Mackie, son Mason (Victoria) Mackie, grandsons Eli and Embry Mackie, siblings Lori (James) Kison, Collin Mackie (Alison Black), Kellie (AJ) Roblee, Michael Mackie, and many extended family members, as well as lifelong friend Andrea DiSanto. Mark was a very friendly, trusting, sensitive, generous person with a goofy sense of humor and an immense love for his family. He was an accomplished athlete in his younger years, excelling at hockey and soccer. Mark was a huge Red Wings fan and loved playing street hockey with his son (the light of his life) and two young grandsons. He had a talent for geography, enjoyed reading non-fiction, and was an outgoing people-person with a big heart. He will be greatly missed. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
