Mark Reinhardt
Mark Lee Reinhardt died on June 8, 2011, just 11 days shy of his 90th birthday. Mark was the only child of Donald and Bertha Reinhardt, born on June 19, 1921, in Chicago, IL. He met the love of his life, Dorothy L. Russell, then a civilian nurse, while serving as a second lieutenant in the US Army Signal Corp during WWII. The couple married on April 21, 1945, at Camp Crowder, MO. During most of their marriage, they lived in Chicago and Midlothian, IL, where Mark retired as a construction tool salesman from Mutual Sales Corp., before moving to Kalamazoo in 2004. Mark was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed other card games, reading, handyman projects and taking long rides through the countryside. Mark was a sweet and gentle soul, much loved by all who knew him. Surviving family members are his wife of 66 years, Dorothy, his son and wife Russell and Debra Reinhardt, daughter Nancy Colantonio and daughter and husband Linda and Jim Duffy. Mark had four grandchildren: Damion Reinhardt, Kathryn and Rudy Colantonio and Mark Adam Hubchenko. Two great grandchildren: Cael and Sophie Reinhardt. He was a loving son-in-law to Emerson and Hazel Russell and brother-in-law to June and Roger Steele, Charles and Peg Russell, Lillian and John Applegate, and Alan and Julie Russell.
