Marvin Thysse

Marvin Thysse, 95, of Portage passed away January 15, 2015 after a short illness. He grew up in Kalamazoo with two brothers and three sisters. He spent 4 &1/2 years as a Marine during WWII and upon discharge began a successful 44 year career in graphic arts. In 1954, he married Pauline Coy and together they had one daughter, Virginia (David) Gilkison. He spent much of his time enjoying fishing and boating on Gourdneck Lake and golfing up until the age of 85. A memorial will be held in the spring on the lake near his home.
