Megan Elizabeth Farrish
Megan Elizabeth Farrish was born in Ruston, Louisiana on March 2, 1992 and passed away in an automobile accident in Allegan County, MI on May 12, 2020. She moved with her family, as a baby, to a small town in East Texas in 1996. In Nacogdoches, Megan wanted to be involved in everything that she loved. She was a regular actor at the Lamplite Theater for over 11 years, where she played many lead and supporting roles. As a child she learned the piano in SFA’s Music Prep Program, as well as sang in church and community choirs. Megan had so much talent and was a perfectionist at her hobbies. She was a Girl Scout in Texas and created so many memories with her family and friends through the extracurriculars that she participated in. Megan attended grade school in Texas at both NISD schools and the SFA Charter School. She was a member of the National Honor Society and a very proud member of the Golden Dragons Band, where she played the bassoon and tenor saxophone. Megan graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 2010, then followed in her Father’s legacy by attending Michigan Technological University. At Michigan Tech she pursued a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering for five years, making new friendships, holding onto her childhood friendships, and creating memories before graduating in 2015. Megan became a product development engineer in Kohler, Wisconsin and recently moved to a similar position in Holland, MI. Megan was engaged to be married to Justin Workman. The two of them lived together for 5 years and have a beautiful Australian cattle dog named Fern. Megan had a newfound hobby of climbing. She loved to do Yoga, Hike, Camp, and play with her dog. She loved visiting her friends and making everlasting memories. Megan and Justin recently purchased their first house together and Megan was fully committed to making that house a home. She loved to dance and break into song, she loved to travel and experience new things. Megan valued her relationships dearly, and she valued her physical and mental health because it was so positive and beautiful. She wanted to continue to travel, experience, and build an amazing family in Michigan. Megan is survived by her parents Kenneth and Teresa Farrish, brother Duncan Farrish, Grandmother Joan Edgerton, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.
